Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our Estimation & Costing team. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing materials, analysing vendor quotations, supporting budgeting, tendering, and billing processes for commercial interior and architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Study and analyse detailed CAD drawings for cost, quantity, and wastage calculations.
• Review 3D renders and prepare initial cost estimates based on materials, market rates, and company rate cards.
• Collect and evaluate quotations from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Analyse company data, monitor budgets, and prepare cost projections using relevant software tools.
• Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) and float RFQs to vendors/consultants for various site activities.
• Identify labour, material, and cost requirements while preparing project proposals and documents.
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates for commercial interior projects.
• Support tender preparation, post-tender documentation, and procurement activities.
• Assist in vendor comparison, reconciliation, negotiations, and final selection.
• Maintain accurate cost records, reports, and project documentation.
• Source and engage with new vendors and suppliers as needed.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and tendering processes.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to interpret architectural and civil drawings.
• Good knowledge of BIM software (training will be provided for quantity take-off).
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
